Sundays
What to Expect
Every Sunday the Body of Christ known as Trinity Community Church, UCC gathers at 10 am to sing praises, listen and grow from the words of scripture, and share joys and concerns as a Christian community of faith. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. Whether it is a regular Sunday or a special Sunday (Easter Sunday, Memorial Sunday, etc.), each includes the participation of many voices, including the voices of the congregation, the Liturgist, and the Pastor. Sunday worship is organized by the Pastor with input from the Board of Deacons and reflects the needs of the congregation and the larger community.
We encourage you to visit Trinity Community Church and experience our Sunday worship service. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the service starts so you can grab a bulletin and sit wherever you wish and listen to the music. The Sanctuary features wheelchair accessible space on both sides of the aisle. Our Pastor preaches a Bible-based message with a practical application to help you live out your faith during the week. Typically, on the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion, but there’s no pressure to participate if you don’t want to, or, on the other hand, anyone may celebrate no matter your faith or church membership. Services are usually an hour, and then you’re welcome to hang out and talk with people afterwards while you grab a cup of coffee/tea and a snack.
We have a volunteer three-piece musical ensemble (“Trinity Trio”) of piano, drums, and clarinet that plays each Sunday. Please click on the video link below to hear a piece they recently did a great job in playing. If you play an instrument and you would like to make our trio a quartet, please talk with Kate Nir, our Music Director, after church service. At the present time, we do not have a formal choir. However, we are open to re-establishing one should there be enough interested people to practice and sing.
At the present time, we do not have a Sunday School program. Should we have enough children attending church on Sunday mornings, we will re-establish our Sunday School curriculum.
